Marriage and Family Therapist

Nico is a licensed marriage and family therapist passionate about working with individuals who require guidance to aid them on their journey. He has been a teacher for nearly 20 years and has extensive experience working in education with adolescents and young adults. Additionally, he has been a professional musician and artist for over 30 years. When appropriate, Nico utilizes music, art, and meditation as catalysts. Additionally, Nico utilizes a myriad of modalities, including DBT, CBT, Unified Protocol, and Solution-Focused Therapy, among others, in his work with individuals and can meet almost anyone where they are on a social and emotional level from a validating and strength-based perspective. Nico is undoubtedly adept at helping our younger population manage stress, family obstacles, relational issues, and social and scholastic interactions. Additionally, Nico has and continues to serve the county of San Diego as a therapist in various crisis homes and facilities, working with a constellation of individuals in residential and outpatient settings.
